This year will mark the CSIET 27th Annual Conference, which will be held from October 27th - 28th, 2011 in Seattle, Washington at the Renaissance Seattle Hotel.

**This year CSIET will be holding its 2011 National School Conference on International Youth Exchange immediately following our 27th Annual Conference. If you would like to register for both events, please indicate on the registration form**

Conference Agenda

Attendees to the 27th Annual Conference should plan to arrive the evening of Wednesday, October 26th or in the early morning of Thursday, October 27th. This year, there will be a slight change in schedule as there will be no Saturday sessions. The Annual Conference will adjourn the evening of Friday, October 28th.

Keynote Speaker

Mr. Rick Ruth

Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Private Sector Exchange
Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs at the Department of State

Rick Ruth is Senior Advisor to the Assistant Secretary and Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary for Private Sector Exchange in the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs at the Department of State. As Acting DAS, he oversees the designation, monitoring and compliance of the Exchange Visitor Program.

Rick is a former Foreign Service Officer and career member of the Senior Executive Service. He joined the United States Information Agency in the mid-1970s as a Russian-speaking exhibit guide. Prior to joining the government, he taught Russian language and literature at the University of Arizona.
