Exhibitor Set-Up Conference Registration and Check-In Pre-Conference Session English Proficiency Testing
Publication of the SLEP test was discontinued in June 2012. In preparation for this change, CSIET has been researching and discussing suitable options with a committee comprised of CSIET Listed Programs. Representatives from this committee will present on our progress thus far and discuss next steps for the community. Please plan to arrive early to the conference, so you can participate in this discussion as this decision will impact the entire community. |

Concurrent Sessions Federal Budget Update and U.S. Department of State Sponsored Programs and Funding Opportunities
Michael McCarry will provide an annual review of Federal and state legislation and funding initiatives for international exchange programming, along with a review of the Congressional appropriations process for upcoming funding cycle. Discover how your organization can expand its exchange portfolio and reach new audiences by working with State Department-sponsored high school exchange programs. Learn about funding opportunities for non-profit organizations and how you can get involved. A Youth Program Branch Chief from the Department’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs will moderate this interactive session which will include a panel of current grantees who will share their experiences. We will address the opportunities and the challenges of partnering with State to further the mission of fostering mutual understanding. |

Whether you are managing a crisis or simply publicizing a program, media relations requires a combination of preparation and skill, and should always support one of your organization's goals. In this program, Chris Lukach, COO of Anne Klein Communications Group, will review fundamental spokesperson techniques, guidelines for creating and using "key messages," and the do's and don'ts of working with the media. |
