Each year, students from around the world study in U.S. high schools. Whether through a year-long J-1 exchange program, a multi-year F-1 Visa program at a SEVP-certified school, a short-term or outbound program, international exchange students need to be ensured of a safe and valuable educational experience.
In 2017, CSIET is excited to bring its 33rd Annual Conference to “Circle City” Indianapolis. This conference will be a place for us to discuss the annual cycle of an international exchange student’s experience - from applying to a program, attending orientation, navigating through cultural changes, and returning home. CSIET standards have been a guiding foundation for international exchange student organizations, companies, and schools. At this year’s conference, we continue to share preferred practices and community standards, so we can surround our international exchange students with safe and valuable experiences as they ‘come full circle’ through the academic year. Sessions provide training and guidance to better support our students and host families.
CSIET Conferences provide a constructive and timely forum to engage in dialog that will shape the immediate future of our community. Session topics fall under one or more of the streams below for high schools international student programming:
- J-1 Visa Exchange Programs
- F-1 Visa Programs
- School and District Programming
