1:00 pm EDT – 2:00 pm EDT Storytelling in 2021. How to Stand Out in a Sea of Distractions
Exchange programs face compounding challenges when it comes to retaining volunteers and attracting participants. In today’s attention-deficit age – rattled by a global pandemic — how can you both shore up confidence among your closest audiences and demonstrate the exchange programs are once again a prudent, positive (and safe!) choice of building global citizens and competency? Together, we will first explore the current media – and media-consumer – landscape to reset our expectations on how storytelling can be used to influence and motivate audiences. Through a series of live, audience poll questions, we’ll dissect what makes a good story in today’s distracted, disjointed, disinterested society, and define the elements that make our stories ultimately stand out.
