Program Eligibility

The following programs are eligible for CSIET Program Membership:

J-1 Exchange Visitor Programs: A non-immigrant visa category designed to promote mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries through bona fide educational and cultural exchange. Organizations are designated by U.S. Department of State (DoS) to administer J-1 Visa student programs on the high school level and/or outbound programming. Learn More About DoS Designation

F-1 Academic Student Programs: A non-immigrant visa category intended for use by nonresident aliens whose primary purpose for visiting the United States is to study full-time at an approved institution.

Outbound: A program that sends American students out of the United States.

Dues depend on the number of secondary-school-aged participants sponsored by the organization. To be eligible, interested exchange programs must demonstrate at least a one-year track record of conducting international youth exchange programs.
