Exchange Service International (ESI) was founded to promote global understanding through student exchange.  Exchange Service International (ESI) offers students the ability to attend an American public high school, allowing them to further their education while fostering a sense of international awareness. ESI students live with an American family, offering insight into American culture and enriching the intercultural experiences within their school and community.

ESI offers over 60 school districts in the United States in exciting communities where students are afforded plenty of cross-cultural activities and ability to improve their English language skills.  All families participating in the ESI program are families who are interested in opening their homes and sharing their lives with a teenager from abroad. These families understand the value of cultural exchange and the positive message that hosting an international student can bring to a local community.  ESI’s team of local coordinators provides support and supervision for students, host families and schools. They carefully screen and select host families to provide a quality environment for each student.  Orientations are provided to host families prior to student arrival and post-arrival orientations are provided to students.

Academic Year Program – United States— ESI accepts qualified students for grade 9 through grade 12 to attend public high schools in the United States and experience the American way of life for either an academic year or one semester. Students must possess academic achievement, exemplary character, adaptability and sufficient command of the English language.
