Amerigo Education provides international students with the tools, care and support they need to pursue a North American education and achieve their university goals.
Amerigo provides students with both homestay and residential options. Residential students live in residences in close proximity to the school, with access to amenities, comfortable living spaces, healthy meals and 24/7 supervision by trained Amerigo staff. Students who choose to live in a homestay are paired with welcoming, local families who have undergone a rigorous application process and extensive safety vetting.
During the school day, Amerigo students attend our partner high schools, which include highly-rated private schools across the United States. There, students participate fully in the school environment, taking advance coursework, participating in clubs and activities and joining after-school sports. Additionally, our robust Student Discovery Programs – including acculturation trips and volunteer opportunities – allow students to make new friends, explore their community and grow.
Each Amerigo student takes part in our English Language Learning courses, which are designed to promote and enhance international students’ fluency in academic English reading and writing. The classes challenge students to achieve a high level of competence in the English language, preparing them for success in their high school and in their future university. Our two-year program comprised of three course levels and is required for all international students.
Our students also receive university guidance from Amerigo, where students engage with university admissions professionals is one-on-one, small group and virtual planning sessions designed to help international students understand how they can best leverage their American high school experience to become more compelling and competitive international university applicants. Through the program, students are challenged to explore their academic and extracurricular interests, set rigorous personal goals, apply to summer programs, complete internships and craft a best-fit university application list. Top-performing students also have access to a rigorous Amerigo Honors Program and a Global Scholars Program.
Additionally, Amerigo students receive a breadth of customized support, starting from the moment they enroll. Our students receive pre-departure services, on-campus social-emotional support and academic advising, and much more. Additionally, parents have access to home country parent support offices, parent webinars, regular parent-teacher conferences and frequent communications.
At Amerigo, our international students have a truly transformative experience, and their well-being and success is at the core of everything we do. To learn more, visit http://www.amerigoeducation.com.
