InterStudy has been promoting cultural exchange and international study opportunities for Slovak youth and adults since 1998. For young people growing up in a small country with a largely monoethnic society, cultural exchange and international education bring invaluable opportunities for broadening their horizons and developing their understanding and tolerance of different cultures. InterStudy supports young people on their journey to becoming world citizens. With the enthusiastic participation of its successful alumni and student ambassadors, InterStudy’s annual student forum event creates a special space for younger students to find inspiration and encouragement to embark on their journey towards a life-changing experience.InterStudy’s experienced, caring and empathetic high school program counselors share a passion for working with young people. They provide support to students and parents from the first counselling session throughout the application and preparation stages and the entire cultural exchange experience. US High School ProgramThe United States is the Nr. 1 destination in InterStudy’s high school program portfolio of 17 countries.

The applicant’s journey starts with a counselling session with the aim of identifying the program that best suits their interests, goals, academic ability and personality. The application process includes English language testing followed by an interview to test the applicant’s speaking skills, as well as an in-depth informal personal interview with the applicant and their parents.

InterStudy conducts in-person pre-departure orientation sessions that are mandatory for all program participants. The format is regularly updated, revised and adjusted based on experience and feedback from previous sessions.InterStudy’s counselors provide advice and support to program participants and parents throughout the program and assist program sponsors in whatever way required, including handling the communication with the natural parents.

InterStudy places great value on creating a relationship with its students and parents that is based on open communication and trust, which is essential for navigating any challenges that an extended stay abroad might bring both to the student and their parents.
