ICES Programas America is dedicated to the promotion of cultural understanding among people from around the world. It is the philosophy of ICES Programas America that a better understanding and tolerance for others is developed through interaction on a personal level.
ICES Programas America offers academic year or semester programs in high schools and short-term homestay programs in the U.S. Programs for passionate students to develop their English, broaden their life experiences, and grow both personally and professionally, with the maximum guarantees before, during and after their stay.
We are specialists in cultural and educational programs in the U.S. and Canada. How many times have we, as parents, wondered about the optimal way to better prepare our children, humanly and socially, for the new era we are living in, where globalization and interculturality are already a reality? ICES offers the highest quality and professionalism so that our young people can live a unique international experience in the U.S. and Canada. We offer an integral service with our expertise in educational consultancy to also guide students to find or focus their academic careers. We create educational experiences that change lives.
Academic Year Program – United States—International students between the ages of 14.5 to 18 travel to the U.S., attend school for one semester or ten months, and live with an American host family. Students must complete an application in English, pass a language proficiency test, submit transcripts showing grades, and write an essay about themselves. Students and parents are interviewed prior to acceptance. Students are encouraged to take English, U.S. history, and geography classes at their high school prior to departure. In addition, most ICES Programas America students are required to attend an intensive U.S. orientation course in Spain prior to their arrival in the host community. The primary focus of the course is to acclimate students to the U.S. culture, review program policies procedures and safety, and prepare them for their academic year stay. ICES Programas America has a wide and proven selection of public, private and boarding schools in America, eligible for J1, F1 visas. Our destinations, schools and families are verified in coordination with the sponsoring agency.
We appreciate your interest and trust in ICES Programas America. The effort and involvement day after day by everyone, families, students and our staff, result in unforgettable life experiences, extending our large family of American Ambassadors, our international students. More than 85% of ICES Programas America students come recommended by former families and participants. We are senior professionals, with more than 14 years of experience.
We hope that ICES Programas America will answer any questions about our programs and our services. We are always available to meet our participants and families in person.
