ExchangeMate International Education is an organization with 14 years of experience placing international students with the F-1 visa in American schools and host families in the United States. Our extensive portfolio includes Public Schools, Private Day Schools, Boarding Schools, and Homestay options for international high school students. We are dedicated to delivering top-tier academic programs tailored to the needs of international students, equipping them with the tools for success while nurturing cross-cultural appreciation.
Our caring and dedicated team members and local coordinators provide unwavering support to international students, host families, and partner schools across all program locations. Within our support network, students benefit from the guidance of skilled student advisors and local coordinators throughout their program duration. Furthermore, to ensure round-the-clock assistance, all students are provided access to a 24/7 emergency line, guaranteeing immediate support from an ExchangeMate team member in any unforeseen circumstance.
ExchangeMate’s headquarters office is located in Orlando, Florida. We have partnered with esteemed educational institutions across the United States, enabling us to provide international students with a diverse array of schools and locations for their high school experience. Our host families undergo a rigorous screening process, which includes in-person home visits, interviews, background checks, personal reference checks, and a comprehensive application process. Prior to the students’ arrival, all host families attend an orientation to better prepare them for the hosting experience.
Upon acceptance into our program, ExchangeMate carefully matches each student with a host family, considering factors such as lifestyle, preferences, and shared interests. All students are provided with their own private room as part of our program. Additionally, students are encouraged to participate in after-school clubs, sports, and other extracurricular activities offered by their high school, as well as engage in local activities with their host families.
All ExchangeMate students are required to participate in an arrival orientation at their final destination, conducted by our local coordinators. Students starting their program in the Fall, have the opportunity to partake in a four-day, three-night optional arrival orientation in Orlando, Florida. During this orientation, students will enjoy visits to Universal Studios Florida™ & Universal’s Islands of Adventure™. Additionally, all students who stay in Florida and participate in the Orlando Orientation will be provided with an annual pass for Universal Studios Florida™ & Universal’s Islands of Adventure™ that can be used throughout their program duration. The primary objectives of the orientation are to familiarize students with American culture, review program policies and safety procedures, discuss general host family and school regulations, and equip them with the necessary tools for a successful high school experience in the United States.
Academic Year Program with F-1 Visa – United States: The F-1 High School Program offers international students aged 14 to 18 the opportunity to immerse themselves in the American high school experience, either by residing with a host family or living in a school residence. Students enrolled in public schools can study in the United States for a maximum of one academic year. Under the ExchangeMate Public High School Program, students have the flexibility to choose a specific city and school district, with the option to select three preferred schools within that district. On the other hand, students attending Private Day or Boarding Schools have the opportunity to study in the United States for multiple years until they complete their high school education. Many public schools, as well as all private day and boarding schools, offer international students the opportunity to graduate and obtain an American high school diploma. This diploma serves as a valuable asset, facilitating acceptance into an American college or university of their choosing.
