Heritage Student Foundation promotes cultural awareness and global citizenship by providing educational opportunities to young students who wish to experience student life here in the United States. Since its founding, Heritage Student Foundation has established partnerships and networks between and amongst agencies abroad, international students seeking to study abroad, and U.S. educational institutions. Through such relationships and the resources Heritage Student Foundation has steadily developed since its inception, students are offered a set of services that cater specifically to their needs during their time abroad.

International Student Enrichment Program (ISEP)

Students who are in grades equivalent to grades 9-12 in the United States and seeking to study at a U.S. day school for one (1) academic year are enrolled in ISEP. These students may choose to extend their period of studies after the initial year, provided they are eligible and welcomed back by their respective schools. Students prepare their application materials in accordance with admissions criteria and procedures that are outlined by schools. This will most often include an assessment of their English proficiency through an approved language proficiency test. Some schools may require other test scores for consideration. While the admissions decisions are made entirely by these SEVP-approved schools upon review of student applications, Heritage Student Foundation is responsible for pre-screening and introducing qualified homestay hosts to students and their parents. Once local guardians are determined, Heritage Student Foundation provides up-to-date host contact information for each and every student to schools.

Heritage Student Foundation works with hosts, students, and schools to prepare each party for the student’s arrival. After the student is in the country, there is continued involvement on the part of the organization by means of monitoring academic performance by obtaining feedback from teachers, guiding the homestay through counseling and mediation, and overall, addressing new developments with timely action and culturally-sensitive solutions. Heritage Student Foundation also integrated Online Tutoring Courses into the program in order for international students to improve grades in academic subjects and to prepare college entrance in the U.S. Tutors from top U.S. colleges teach students via great online tutoring platforms.
