iGoGo International promotes global diplomacy through the placement of international students with host families and/or boarding schools throughout the United States. The program provides an opportunity for families and students to grow as they begin to think more globally through experiential learning.

iGoGo’s team began working with international students in 1996 and has a strong background with F1 visa programs.   iGoGo’s commitment to excellence is reflected in the 100’s of families and students the team has managed successfully.  iGoGo provides support and training both at the local level, as well as, on the international stage because the team works with a network of schools and local coordinators in the US and abroad.

Host families are screened and supervised.  During the student’s stay, monthly reports are provided to the natural parents reflecting progress both academically and personally.

iGoGo offers a high school academic year and semester program.

Academic Year/Semester Program – United States—International students travel to the United States and attend school for a trimester, semester or ten months, and live with a U.S. host family.  Students must complete an application in English, pass the ELTiS (English Language Test for International Students) language proficiency test, submit transcripts indicating above-average grades, and answer questions regarding interests and giftings. In addition, students are medically screened and teacher evaluations are reviewed. Students and parents are interviewed prior to acceptance.

Upon acceptance, students are required to attend a pre-departure orientation. The orientations, which are conducted before US arrival, address issues such as American culture, English language, program rules, safety, school/program expectations, and how to make the most of the U.S. high school experience.

A post-arrival orientation is also completed to further discuss cultural differences, program/school expectations, US laws, and procedures for safety.  All of this helps equip a student for a successful program experience.

Host families also receive orientations to understand the goals of a student, program/school expectations, safety, and cultural differences/integration.

Host families are encouraged to review a students’ application before selecting the student who would most appropriately match their family’s lifestyle and interests. Cost to participants is $4995 to $6525, including insurance but excluding transportation, personal expenses and school tuition. Optional services also include, chaperoned college visits, individual tutoring, ESL support and for-credit school opportunities.
