WEP BELGIUM
WEP is an international organization that brings together a team with a shared passion: that of discovering the world. We deeply believe in what we do and that is why we work enthusiastically every day to offer the best to our participants.
For over 30 years, thanks to our educational and cultural projects abroad, we have been providing young people with tools that enable them to grow and change by confronting differences and discovering new ways of thinking. It is this form of responsible education that has inspired us since the beginning and continues to motivate us today. We are convinced that each person is a source of richness. Differences in nationality, gender, social status, political or religious beliefs… are all different points of view to be discovered. We encourage our participants to show trust, respect and open-mindedness.From the very first contact, we offer sound, personalized advice. Our objective is clear: to accurately assess the profile of our participants and draw on our experience to guide them towards the project that best suits them.
We are convinced of the inestimable value of an experience abroad. And for a good reason: we have been there too! Allowing more and more participants to have this experience is a source of satisfaction that drives us to give our best every day.
We are independent of our partners abroad. We determine, based on regular evaluations and the valuable opinions of our participants, which partners we want to work with.
Academic Program – United States—International students ages 15 to 18 travel to the United States, attend school for one semester or a school year, and live with a U.S. host family. Students must complete an application in English, pass a language proficiency test, submit transcripts indicating above-average grades, write an autobiographical essay and provide medical information. Students are interviewed prior to acceptance. Upon acceptance, students are required to attend pre departure orientation. The orientation addresses issues such as American culture, English language, program rules, and how to make the most of the U.S. high school experience.
