Cambridge Network is an educational consulting firm devoted to increasing international participation in American education and strengthening the ability of institutions to educate students of different backgrounds. Cambridge Network’s mission is to foster cultural and intellectual exchanges by cultivating relationships among diverse groups of youth. International students enroll in our partner middle and high schools as degree-seeking students, with most having the intention of matriculating to a U.S. college or university.

Cambridge Network offers homestay programs which are supported by Family Education Advisors and local support contacts as well as our student development and host management committees. Family Education Advisors work closely with the rest of the team to coordinate both remote and local support and check in with students and hosts regularly (at least once a month) to provide students and hosts guidance and coordination and prepare reports for the natural parents overseas.

High school-aged international students travel to study in the United States, immerse themselves in their new communities, and live with an American host family. Students receive English language support in courses run either by the school or by Cambridge Network’s Academic Services program.

Prior to departure for the United States, international students participate in a comprehensive orientation centered around cultural adjustments and learning expectations while abroad. A second orientation is conducted after the student arrives in the U.S. The U.S. orientation focuses on preparing students for their first few days here and getting ready to start school, for example, setting up bank accounts, purchasing textbooks, and more.

Also, international students are enrolled in the Cambridge UP program, where students learn essential and meaningful topics every month. The two areas of focus are personal growth through social-emotional learning and developing strong study skills to support academic growth. All lessons are delivered using a student-centered approach and continuously show students the real-world applications of the skills they learn. By providing this program, Cambridge Network helps students learn crucial topics to successfully navigate through life in the United States.
