MAPP Psychology’s Dr. Fraser Smith and AFS-USA’s Director of Participant Support & Learning, Ian Loumos will present a session entitled Promoting Mental Wellness During the Screening & Orientation Process. Attendees can learn how CSIET certified-programs like AFS-USA solicit mental health information during the admission phase, how to respond to mental health issues, and ways to create inclusive environments where students feel empowered to share mental health realities. Dr. Smith will also lead a panel of mental health professionals to discuss what international exchange organizations can do to solicit and respond to mental health information during the screening phase.
