The Mission of the DMD Private High School Program is that many of the students that wish to experience and share cultures are given that opportunity. The DMD Private High School Program works with over 90 private high schools in the United States in an effort to help students obtain the dream of attending high school and furthering their education in the United States. Through this process the student can share their culture and obtain better English skills. The DMD Private High School Program offers a high school academic year program. The DMD Private High School Program operates through a network of area coordinators throughout the United States who provide support on a local level. Coordinators interview and screen host families and supervise the program during the students' stay. Area coordinators are required to submit progress report and have a minimum of monthly contact with the student. Through positive training and local supervision it is the goal of the program to foster engaging homestay relationships and student experiences. Academic Year Program - United States—The DMD Private High School Program accepts quality international students ages 15 to 18 travel to the United States, attend school for one semester or ten months, and live with a U.S. host family. Students must complete an application in English, pass the ELTiS Language Test, submit transcripts indicating grades, and write an autobiographical essay. Students and parents are interviewed prior to acceptance. Host families are encouraged to review several students' applications before selecting the student who would most appropriately match their family’s lifestyle and interests.
